Report on the pre University Academy in Cristo Redentor, Arequipa

Rev. Juan Carlos Revilla informs us from Arequipa that classes have begun in the Academy.
Classes began Monday 16th January and there are already 52 students of teenagers and young people.
To achieve this number they have used the following strategies:
1. Maintained a monthly fee of 25 soles ($8) (pre university) & 20 soles ($6) (Summer classes for younger students, secondary etc)), in both cases they are offering more than 10 courses.
2. Gone into the streets to leaflet with printed flyers, they had 11000 copies printed which cost 150 soles ($46). The teachers also formed groups to go out and talk about the classes in different parts of the city.
3. Used local radio stations to publicize the classes at a cost of 600 soles ($195 ).(They were interviewed on the radio about the work and this was broadcast throughout the city, a great opportunity to share the work and ministry of the Anglican church in Arequipa and in all Peru).
4. Offered classes in computers, guitar and public speaking which have had a lot of interest.

Rev. Juan Carlos Revilla gives praise to God for the opportunity to reach these students and their families and invite them to the church to experience the love of Jesús . Even in Arequipa there are people who have not heard of the Anglican Church so this is a great opportunity to inform them but more importantly invite them to find out for themselves..
